Smartphone industry is booming, and you can expect one or two flagship devices launched every month. Here in this article we will discuss about Top 5 Smartphones of 2014 (We are writing this article on February, hence phones announced/launched till today were in consideration). We will try to update this Top 5 Smartphones list later on (maybe on September) for possible better smartphone launches.
There are more than hundreds of smartphone company and platforms in the world. But only a handful of them are dominating the entire smartphone market. Smartphone manufacturers like Samsung, Apple, Nokia, LG, HTC, and Sony are holding more than ¾ of the whole smartphone market. For the rest local companies are fighting. Whereas in the OS market Android is dominating the smartphone world with around 60% of market share, Apple’s iOS is holding around 25%, and Microsoft’s Windows Mobile platform holds around 8% of the market share. Rest is being shared by Palm OS, Symbian, Firefox OS etc.
While preparing this list we have taken in consideration several factors such as design, processor, Camera, RAM, Operating system, Ease of use, After sales software updates, Battery life, responsiveness and overall customer satisfaction in account. We haven’t considered Price while preparing this list. Let’s start the list of Top 5 Smartphones of 2014.
